Sweet Tilda's playing the Violin!

Hi everyone!

I'm so happy to finally be able to show you my card with Tilda with Violin! To think that I didn't even really like this Tilda at first... I even thought of cutting off her wings/feathers! LOL! So glad I didn't, 'cause I think she turned out pretty cute with her glittery dress :o).

I wanted to create a bit of a "classic" look for this card, both because of the image and because it was created for a couple's 40th anniversary!

Here she is:

Here's a side view to show the sparkles on her dress:

And the Copics I used (also listed below!):

Materials used:
Paper for stamping: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White #80
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics  and Tim Holtz distress ink Antique Linen for edges of paper
Stamps: Tilda with Violin from Magnolia's upcoming Christmas Collection 2010, sentiment is from Close To My Heart
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics
Patterned paper: Basic Grey (Wassail collection) and Magnolia (music notes, from Christmas 2009 collection)
Flowers: magnolia (large rose) and Prima (small roses)
Ribbon: Close To My Heart
Pearls: Close To My Heart, Pearl floral spray: Michaels
Glitter: Ranger Stickles Xmas Red
Tools:  Doily lace border punch and leaves from Martha Stewart

Copics used:
Skin: Eoo - R20
Hair: Y11 - Y21 - YR 21
Dress: R32 - R37 - R39 - R89
Shoes: E30 - E31
Violin: E31 - E35 - E57 - E59
Wings/feathers: N0 - W1

Well, that's it for now. Think I'll have another nice warm cuppa tea and then go to bed early as I'm feeling a bit under the weather.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugz,
Irma

Oh Darn!! Now you have done it to me. This Tilda has not been among my favorites.......until I saw the card you made with her!! Outstanding work, and a great anniversary card. On my computer screen, her dress looks like it is made out of velvet. Beautiful.

Very pretty. From the front, I thought you did her dress with the crushed velvet technique. It's pretty all glittered up too. I love the way you attached the sentiment too.
