Time to pick some flowers!

Hi everyone!

I'm back! Sometimes life just gets in the way of spending time in your craft room. And so does a daughter with an ear infection and Spring break! LOL! Fortunately the medication's kicking in and I was able to spend some time working on a card for my MIL's upcoming Birthday, while my sweet daughter was coloring in some stamped Tilda's! :o)

Don't you wish it was time to pick some Lilacs from your garden?? That's still a couple months away, but although we had some fresh snow last night, Spring is around the corner! :o)

I used "Tilda picking Lilacs" for my card, knowing my MIL loves Lilacs and the lilac colors. It looks so fresh and Springy combined with the light green ribbon!

Here's the card closed:

And opened:

Side view, as you can see it's an Easel card:

And the Copics I used:

Materials used:
Paper for stamping: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White #80
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics (see picture above)
Stamps: Tilda picking Lilacs (from Magnolia's Chasing Butterflies Collection 2009), sentiment (Close To My Heart)

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics
Patterned paper: K & Company (Gingham Vine Flowers), Sanylion (Purple)
Flowers: Patricia's Etsy Shop (roses), Prima
Clear sparkles and pearls: Close To My Heart, pearl floral spray (Michaels)
Ribbon: Stampin'Up!
Tools: Spellbinders Labels 4 Nestabilities dies, leaf and border punches from Martha Stewart, distressing tool (Close To My Heart), machine stitching.

If you haven't seen the new Magnolia Pirates & Princesses/Fairytale/Bridal collections yet..... go check them out here! Diana from the Magnolia-licious store just got them in this weekend!! They're not even officially released yet! And although some are already out of stock, there are many cutesy stamps left to chose from! As an extra bonus, Diana gives away a special surprise stamp (not available in the store!) with every $60 minimum order!! Go get some!!
Hopefully I'll have mine in my hot little hands sometime later this week or next week, so I can play!! :o)

Happy stampin'!

Hugz,
Irma
