Fairytale Desk Caddy

Hi everyone!

I'm so excited! You might already know that I won a Guest Design Team position for the month of April at the StampShoppe... Well, today you can see my Fairytale card on the store home page! Check it out here!

I got my assignments and now I'm waiting for my envelope with goodies... so exciting! Wait to see what we have in store for you!
If you live in Canada, the StampShoppe is definitely one of the two places to shop for Magnolia stamps!! Heidi, the owner, provides great customer service and fast shipping! Prices are great (what you see is what you pay), shipping costs are low or even free with a minimum order.
I'll let you in on a little secret... there will be a discount special in April on some of the last year's stamp collections!! A great way to stock up on stamps that might be still on your wish-list :o).

I can't wait to get started... I've been cooking up new cards and projects in my sleep last night! LOL!

Now, I promised you yesterday I would show you my Fairytale desk caddy today... So here it is! Couldn't resist inking up all these cute new stamps :o)

You can see more pictures below...
I found the idea of the desk caddy on the blog of the talented Kathleen Innes, right here.
Also, you can find a step-by-step tutorial with pictures on Sandy's blog, right here.
The desk caddy is pretty easy to make, just make sure you use a strong adhesive like Sticky strip or Scor-Pal tape!

I used four of the stamps from Magnolia's new Pirates & Fairytale collection. I think this must be my favorite Magnolia collection so far!! Here they are:

Spellcaster Tilda:

Prom Queen Tilda:

Fairytale Tilda (my favorite):

And Princess Tilda (my other very favorite!):

A view from above:

And the Copics I used:

Materials used:

Paper for stamping: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White #80
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics (see picture above) and Atyou Spica Gold glitter pen (Froggy's crown)
Stamps: Fairytale Tilda, Spellcaster Tilda, Princess Tilda and Prom Queen Tilda (all from Magnolia's new Pirates & Fairytales collection 2010)
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics
Patterned paper: Imaginisce (Fairest Of Them All collection)
Flowers and large pearls: Close To My Heart
Mini pearls: Kaiser Kraft
Ribbon: from my old stash
Glitter: Stampendous

Tools: Spellbinders Circle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities dies, border punch from Martha Stewart, machine stitching.

Well, I'm off to pick up my daughter from school and check my mailbox :o)

Have a wonderful day!

Hugz,
Irma
