Oh BOY! Starring Edwin...

Hi everyone!

I promised I would make a boyish card this week for a change... well, I did! I'm having so much fun playing in my craft room! But before I show you, I have some confessions to make :o).

For those of you who didn't know yet... I'm slightly addicted to Magnolia's! LOL! These little angels have stolen my heart!
But I have to confess I didn't even LIKE Tilda when I first saw her... sure, she was cute, but I couldn't get around the "no mouth" part... The more I saw her, the more she grew on me though.  And now I can say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Maggies are just SO much FUN to color! You stamp the image in black on white and then, when you start coloring, the little Tildas and Edwins really come to life.

I hardly ever make a boyish card! Probably because I have a little girl... who loves Tilda just as much as I do! She asks me often to stamp a couple Maggies for her, so she can color them in :o). It's great to be able to share my hobby with my little girl! Makes me happy!

Okay, so you're about to see little Edwin appear on my card... here's another confession...
Can you believe that I own over 60 Magnolia stamps, and not ONE of them is Edwin? (Well, if you don't count Tilda & Edwin on ice, that is...) I didn't really care for images of Edwin at first, but I got this image from a friend and now that I've colored him in... I think I need to add Edwin to my next order :o)

So here he is... starring Edwin!

View from the side, to show some more detail & dimension:

And the Copics I used:

Materials used:

Paper for stamping: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White #80
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, colored in with Copics (see picture above for colors)
Patterned paper: Basic Grey (Skate Shoppe collection)
Stamps: Magnolia (Edwin) and Close To My Heart (sentiment and stars - stamped those on the back of the paper and cut them out)
Fiber: Basic Grey (Skate Shoppe collection)
Brads: Close To My Heart
Glitter: Stampendous
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities (ovals) dies, StampinUp! scallop edge border punch, machine stitching.

Stay tuned... I'm working hard on a Pop-up scene card for the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog challenge !

Have a wonderful day!

Hugz,
Irma

Irma , you have done it again ! This is totally adorable and I can't believe the beautiful coloring on Edwin ! You are a STAR and if somebody doesn't pick you to be on a DT somewhere then they have rocks for brains !
Magnolias are angels even though you can't always see their wings because they are folded behind them . Angels speak with their hearts ; therfore they don't need a mouth ! ( I read that somewhere :-)
